About Us

The ‘Tooloombilla Rodeo and Campdraft Association Incorporated’ is a not-for–profit organisation that was founded in 1973 by a dedicated group of strong community minded individuals who saw a need to draw together people from local stations and businesses.

Our area does not have a community meeting place and the major goal was to socially interact the community whilst addressing the need for an event of significance for our area, the result, Tooloombilla Rodeo and Campdraft Association. This weekend has become a major local project that increases the community’s access to recreational, sporting and social opportunities.

Tooloombilla Station is located between the two small towns of Mitchell and Injune so it is ideally located to hold an event.  In the early years we decided to raise and donate money to the Royal Flying Doctor Service. As the years past and the event grew the committee saw the need to include the local ambulance services as a secondary beneficiary.

The Australian Campdrafting Association and the Queensland Rodeo Association now regard the  weekend as an important date on their event calendars.

For the last few years, our event supported by local families and businesses has been able to donate  approximately $20,000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Mitchell and Injune Ambulance Services and Lifeflight annually.
